In a Snap!

I received the Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace from Influenster to test out and share my reviews! I am so happy I was chosen for this! This new little razor is so cute! This razor is perfect to throw in your bag when you’re going out with the girls or to take on a weekend vacation! It doesn’t take up much space so you have extra room to pack another pair of shoes or your favorite book! The handle is the perfect size to be able to grip and use and replacing the blade cartridges is no issue either! It also comes with the cutest little blue carrying case that has air holes on the bottom so that your blades can dry without rusting, how ingenious does that sound!

 

Thank you Influenster and Gillette Venus, I am so happy to be a proud owner of this and I surely won’t hesitate to show it off! (While giving credit where credit is due of course!

Darby Smart, Crafty Start

I am excited to share this review with you about a company called Darby Smart! This company was started because of Nicole Farb trying to recreate pinterest crafts and was unable too due to not having the correct items or the right amount of the items she had! This company was started in 2013 but has many fans already! When I received my box, I was instantly excited! Unfortunately weather conditions got to the box and it was wet and kind of falling apart but that didn’t affect how cute the box was and the items inside! Now as we all know, computers and cell phones have become a huge part of many peoples lives, some people even an addiction (Me included! haha) but I still love to do hands on crafts and games so when I saw the picture on top of the box I immediately felt connected to this company, like they understood me without knowing me haha!

Now as you can see, I received the kit to make ink blot coasters! I can’t tell you how excited I was to get this kit as this was the kit the caught my attention of Darby Smart. When I saw this I thought “How was I going to do this with the few materials they gave me” especially after reading the directions I didn’t think there’d be enough ink.

3 little bottles of alcohol ink, 1 bottle of alcohol blending solution, 4 coasters, 1 bottle of mod podge, 1 foam brush and a pack of cork sticky tabs. It seemed like so little but a little goes a long way with these items.

First you start off by putting a little bit of alcohol blending solution on the tile and spread it all over the tile with the foam brush provided as shown in the picture below.

Once you have put a thin even coat of the alcohol blending solution on the surface of the tile coaster then you are ready to add a drop of the alcohol ink and watch the magic unfold!

You can use just one color or all three! and you don’t have to put color on the whole coaster. I don’t like small empty spaces so I made all of my coasters full of color! and once you have finished, wait about 10-15 minutes and then spread a thin even layer of mod podge on and let it sit to dry at least 24 hours but I recommend possibly 36 hours just to be on the safe side and this will be your finished product!

This was a fun craft and I did this with my boyfriend and we had a blast making the coasters! I love doing things that could engage the whole family especially as my son gets older and this company is one that has family oriented written all over it!

Chivalry is not dead!

In December, I received 4 complimentary tickets to a show of my choice at the Maryland Medieval Times Castle. I chose to go after the holidays, on January 5th! I was asked to go and then blog about my experience so everything that you read in this blog is solely my opinion and thoughts and are not associated with the Medieval Times franchise. I was compensated for my opinion with the 4 complimentary tickets only. Now to get to the fun part about this post! I went to Medieval Times with my dad, my boyfriend and our 10 month old son and we all had a blast! This was my dad and son’s first time at the castle and I could see the look of intrigue on their faces! Our show started at 5:00 PM and that’s about the time we ended up getting there (Car troubles can be such downers but glad we made it at all)! Luckily they hadn’t started the show just yet so when we sat down the knights were presented! We were on the red and yellow team! I have also been on the black and white, blue, and yellow teams also! I only need to be on the red and green teams to have been on all teams! The knights and our announcer  are very interactive with the crowd, I love how the seats are so close to the ring so that the show is a little bit more personal than other shows such as concerts and stuff! Once the introductions are done, we are graced by the beautiful Andalusian Horses and their amazing talents!

Once they returned to the back we were then visited by the gorgeous Hawk! It’s amazing watching him/her fly around us, coming so close to use but never touching us. I love watching him/her fly around! (I wonder if anyone has ever been pooped on by him/her hehehe) Birds are such mystical creatures and the hawk is no different! Unfortunately I didn’t get a decent picture of this beauty! When I go back again, I’ll be sure to get a good picture and include it in this post!

We were served our food during the horse and hawk segments. I remember the first time coming here and being told that we were having dragon tail soup and half of a baby dragon, admittedly scared me a little as if dragons were real! haha! I loved how the food tasted at this visit. Normally their soup seemed a bit bland but they revamped the soup and it was absolutely delicious! I always enjoy the seasoning on the chicken and spare rib and love the potato and garlic bread! It is truly a meal fit for king and queens! Then you are served a delicious apple pie puff pastry, I was too excited and forgot to take a picture of it!

As we sat and ate, the games began between the knights, starting off with gathering rings, After every game, the winning knights would get flowers to give to select people in the crowd. I hope to get one, one day! Once they completed the games, the real competition started and that was to see who the strongest knight was! It’s fun to see them joust on horses and using Medieval style weapons! Especially when the weapons hit the metal shields and create sparks! The guests on the sides are protected by nets that drop from the ceiling. I can’t remember who won but I remember it wasn’t the evil knight! Going to Medieval Times will never disappoint anyone, the experience is so fun and it is something that can be done over and over again without the risk of becoming boring! I can’t wait to take my son again once he’s a little older!

Christmas time has come!

Christmas time seemed to creep up just as fast as it left. Christmas is my favorite time of the year, especially now that I have my own family to make memories with! My sons first Christmas couldn’t have been any better, He received so much love and oh so many gifts! When I start receiving more stuff, I will be reviewing more! Montagne Jeunesse Pulped Pomegranate Red Earth Clay Mask

I received this mask to try in the Violet VoxBox from Influenster. I was super excited because I hadn’t tried a face mask that was a piece of cloth that was clay infused before. The first thing I noticed was the smell, it smelled amazing and it was a very inviting relaxing smell. As I was trying to put it on, it did get a bit tricky to line up the holes probably with my face but that could have been my own fault! Once I got it on properly it immediately was very cool on my face and helped me relax a bit. It was very refreshing and cool. Once I cleaned my face off, my skin felt so smooth and refreshed and it still has the refreshed cool feeling a few hours later!

Violet VoxBox from Influenster

I was out of town when my VoxBox showed up and I just couldn’t wait to get home and open my surprise! Once I got home I was a little disappointed to see that I had a small box, meaning I didn’t get the brush but I am still thankful for even receiving the items that I did! In my box I had the Sally Hansen Triple Shine nail polish, Montagne Jeunesse Pulped Pomegranate Red Earth Clay Mask, Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo, Goody Athletique Head band and a Banana Soyjoy bar! The first thing I tried was the soyjoy bar, I am not a huge banana fan but I wanted to try this anyways because I was expected to review it. The taste at first was not so bad, it had a real banana flavor and was soft but the after taste that I experienced was a little stronger then I would like to deal with so this product is not something that I would willingly purchase but I will definitely recommend it to more health conscious friends and family! The triple shine nail polish that I got was blow bubbles. The polish goes on very light so t will take 3-4 coats to show up very good but If you like a light color then only 1 or 2 coats is needed. Next I checked out the Goody headband and tried it out. I love the adjustable feature! Too many headbands I tried on were just too tight for my big head! I love the softness of it also. I haven’t tried the Not your mother’s clean freak dry shampoo yet but I love the idea of it! Sometimes we just have a lazy day when we don’t feel like showering (If you don’t have lazy days, you’re not normal haha!)and this seems like a great thing to use if you have to make a quick grocery store run! Last but not least was the face mask! I was especially excited to try this out because I had the opportunity to try one before and I absolutely loved it and this face mask was no different! This was a little different from the one I had previous tried, as this was a clay infused cloth that you drape onto your face! It was tricky to put on but once it was on it was very refreshing and cool and it smelled fabulous! I can’t wait to try some other scents that they have and I will definitely be recommending this product for anyone who needs a little refreshing and relaxing break!

Overall, though I didn’t get to try the brush, I am very pleased with this voxbox and I sure hope to receive many more!

Spread the Possibilities!

I was referred by a friend to check out the website Www.Crowdtap.com, being that it was a website that rewards consumers with free samples and products in return for their opinions and their free advertisements, I was on board immediately. The first product I have received so far from them was Hershey’s new chocolate spread. My spread was Hershey’s with almond chocolate spread. I was a bit weary at first to try it because I am not a fan of almond, but being that I received this product specifically to review and that Hershey’s anything is always delicious, I dove right in, and I am glad! This spread is absolutely delicious! I am not a big fan of spreading it on anything, I like to just eat a few spoon fulls straight out of the jar so I can get the maximum flavor! I am glad to have the opportunity to be a part of the Spread the possibilities crowd and I will definitely be recommending this product and purchasing it in the future as well!

Bzzagent Kroger skillet meals
